I’ve watched this anime and it is very good.
here is a try hard review:
story: in a nutshell?
Lelouch is a Kira-like cool and clever student who wants justice, peace and order in the world which has been taken over by the powerful empire Britannia. He is also a prince of this empire, but wants revenge from it and its king, his father who used him as hostages after not caring about his mothers assassination, by destroying completely. He is chosen by C.C an immortal being to carry the burden of the power Geass; a power which enables the user to enforce complete obedience to the users command, but only once. On the other side of the story is Suzaku, Lelouch’s good natured old friend, who joins the Brittanian army. They meet coincidentally at school where they are friends, but after hours they are enemies – one trying to annihilate the empire and the other trying to reform it and each in his disguise.
animation and music: The animation in this anime is excellent the characters appearance matching the character, in colour, style and voice , and thats important because there is a wide array of colourful and interesting characters. the world is a mecha type environment, alotta machines and what not and fighting and blood, so theres alot of clanging noises and bullet shooting. but they soften it with a pop song or something and its kinda funny if you think about it. the voice actors are excellent in the jap version, i don’t know if there is a dub.
Islam view: a few rude scenes that you can basically look away for a few seconds for, and its like what the? they’re trying to put these naked scenes in here! oh well thats anime *shrugs* but very disapproving am i. but not many like maybe 5 in the whole 25 eps. theres alot of blood and violence, and some supernatural themes, but you shouldn’t let it get to you and ruin your iman. if that kinda thing happens then you should just leave it.
comparison: many ppl compare this anime to Death Note. It is quite comparable in my opinion, though each is different. Lelouch is using his clever and cunning and sometimes cold ways to make a better world even if it means killing people, that is what Light does in Death note though Lelouch has more emotion which in fact adds more drama to the series. Suzaku really cares for other people and is good natured and hates lelouch whos code name is zero for using the wrong methods to achieve the result. maybe L can vaughly be put with him, but hes on Lelouchs level of intelligence. ehh, i don’t know.
rating: do i really have the right to rate? well i really enjoyed it was over the edge seat gripping drama with many joicy secrets and mind bollgling turns and i had to finish the whole series in 2 days literally. 8.5-9-5. i just found DN more enjoyable. but the tactics are really something.
