Summary of Movie

A huge monster shows up on the top of a building of an ordinary city, prompting the Defense Forces to go into action and causing the citizens of the city to start an uproar. Yuki, a brave-hearted and naturally inquisitive girl, happens to know a secret. Her friend Tetsu has been keeping and raising a strange creature called Cenco. Instantly becoming fascinated by Tetsu and his pet, a mysterious boy appears with control over the huge monster threatening the town. With that, an unexpected battle begins. (ANN)

Story

Cencoroll has a very interesting storyline and it is fun to follow what happens.

Art/Animation

The art and drawing style is wonderful and the quality of animation is really good.

Sound/Music

The soundtrack did not really get my attention and I did not listen to the opening or ending music, so I can’t really review that.

Character

The characters all have their own personalities and it is fun to see all these different personalities work together or against one another.  The character design is also very cool.

Enjoyment

This was a pretty exciting 25 minutes-very short movie. I think it would have been a lot better if there was more, but you never know, the animators may decide to make a sequel or make it into a series. I think it would have been fine as one movie if it was longer.  It is a pretty exciting movie to watch.
I watched this anime with the Japanese audio (no English dub available as of the time I am posting this) with English subtitles.

Islamic Factor

There was not really anything inappropriate in this anime as regards to romantic scenes. I don’t remember any foul language, but if there was any at all, it was mild bad language.  It does have some violence, so an older individual may want to watch it first before letting their small children watch it, just to make sure.  The violence isn’t that bad at all, but it is better safe than sorry.  One family may consider something really violence when another wouldn’t consider it that way.

Overall

Overall Cencoroll was really fun to watch for about 25 minutes.  There was no sexual scenes, so I did not have to worry about that.  It might not be good to watch as a family because it is not dubbed, and it would probably be hard for children to follow subtitles.  Also, it has some violence in it, so an older more responsible individual might want to watch this movie first before letting small children watch it.
