Kudo Shinichi (Jimmy Kudo) is a seventeen year-old high school detective whom people call the “Modern Sherlock Holmes.” However, one night after he went to a park with his childhood sweetheart, Ran (Rachel) , Shinichi (Jimmy) witnessed an illegal trade and, caught off his guard, was knocked unconscious and fed a drug that was supposed to kill him… but he woke up and found himself shrunken to a seven year-old. In order to track down the men who did this to him, Shinichi (Jimmy) hid his identity and lived with Ran (Rachel), whose father happened to be a hopeless detective, and with that came a series of murders and mysteries that he must solve. Summary of Movie

This first Conan movie follows Conan’s adventures as he struggles to find and capture a mad bomber who’s loose in his home town. Chasing bomb after bomb, Conan must stop him before he destroys more buildings in the city, which have the potential to kill hundreds of people.

Story

The Story of Detective Conan (Case Closed) Movie 1 is very interesting and exiting to watch.

Art/Animation

The drawing style is awesome and the animation is pretty good.  The animation can most likely be better if the movie had been done in the last couple years (it was originally aired on Apr 19, 1997), but the quality is significantly better than the animation quality of the series’s first season and that is because movies usually have a bigger budget than the TV series.

Sound/Music

The soundtrack is really cool and it is the same as the first season of Detective Conan (Case Closed).  The soundtrack changes a little each season, but so far as I have seen the soundtrack of the first season and this movie are my favorite.

Character

The characters are really awesome both in character design and in their significance in the series and movies.  The characters really make you want to see more of them and more of the Detective Conan (Case Closed) movies and series.

Enjoyment

I had never seen Detective Conan (Case Closed) before this movie, and after watching it the first time, I just thought “This is really awesome”  I had heard of it before, but I thought it was lame.  -I was wrong.  It is really fun to watch this movie, and as I am writing this review I really feel like watching this movie again.

Islamic Factor

I found this movie to be really clean and appropriate to watch for Muslims.  You can just sit down and watch this movie without having to worry about skipping forward a scene (a bad scene) or looking down or whatever else you do.  You can just relax and watch this without any worries about sexual content.  I watched this a while ago, so I can’t say with confidence that there was no bad words, but I’m sure if there was any at all, they were not really really bad.

Overall

Overall Detective Conan The Timed Skyscraper is an awesome movie and should be pretty appropriate for Muslims or any other religious individual to watch. It doesn’t have any romantic sexual scenes which is awesome! Besides that, this movie is really fun to watch and see how it all comes to an end.
